Bible Question:

I believe in the Bible, and I believe in energies that are the in our world. I believe that on all hollows eve both good and bad energies run free. I believe during pow wows we are celebrating both death and life welcoming the dead for their new life and protecting the living. I believe in the life in our mountains, the trees, the clouds, the rocks, the water etc. I believe spirits run free in our world. I know we have evil running amuck. I believe we are one race, God's race. Someone once asked if what he believed was not the truth? I told him if that was the case then believe in the person that believes in the Bible. It seemed to help. I believe God is my higher power. I am having trouble believing in me. The one that believes all the above. My original question stands. Maybe you all can help me with the rest of my question.

Bible Answer:

It appears that you believe in many things, but they cannot all be true. They cannot be true because God says that there is no other God; there is no one else but Him.

The Only God

Listen to what God has said,

Before Me there was no God formed,
And there will be none after Me.
I, even I, am the LORD,
And there is no savior besides Me. (NASB) Is. 43:10-11

I am the first and I am the last,
And there is no God besides Me. (NASB) Is. 44:6

I, the LORD, am the maker of all things,
Stretching out the heavens by Myself
And spreading out the earth all alone . . . (NASB) Is. 44:24

Is it not I, the LORD?
And there is no other God besides Me,
A righteous God and a Savior;
There is none except Me.
Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other. (NASB) Is. 45:21-22

The message is powerful. There is no other power, energy, force, or spirit that is a god. There is only one God. Those who claim that every religion leads to God have either ignored this statement or do not know that God is the only one in existence. He has no rivals. All of the other voices come from demonic sources. They want to be god.

Angel of Light

God also tells us that Satan, an evil angel, pretends to be an angel of light. He pretends to be good.

No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. (NASB) 2 Cor. 11:14

But he is not good. He does not give us truth. He bends it just enough to lead us away from the true God. The demons or evil spirits are followers of Satan. Some even disguise themselves as spirits of goodness and truth. God also tells us in the New Testament that the spirits which pretend to be gods are not gods.

However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods. (NASB) Gal. 4:8

Conclusion:

How does God feel about other religions? God grieves for every man and woman who rejects or ignores the true God. He loves each one. In the book of Jonah we discover that God had great compassion for the great city of Nineveh. It was a city which believed in many gods.

Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons . . . (NASB) Jonah 4:11

So he sent His prophet Jonah to them to tell them about the true God. Today, God is still reaching out to everyone. Jesus Christ came into our world to teach us the truth. Jesus said that He was the way and truth (John 14:6). If He is the truth then no other person qualifies. God wants us to know that every man and woman can finally be at peace with God if we believe that Jesus is God and returned to life after dying to forgive our sins.
