A Person Becomes a Christian When . . .

Person Becomes A Christian When

Do you want to go to heaven? A person does not get into heaven because he/she is a good person and does good things. God says that no one does anything good enough to gain eternal life – not one. God says, “There is no one who does what is good, not even one . . .” Romans 3:12 (NASB). The message is that we all do good deeds, but none of our deeds are good enough to please God in order to get us into heaven (Rom. 4:4-5). So how does a person get into heaven? The answer is that a person stops trying to gain approval and just believes or trusts that Jesus is God, physically died for our sins, and returned to life after His death. He did that so that we can have our sins forgiven. He is alive today in heaven. Those are the facts about Jesus. True followers of Jesus will also admit that they are sinners, are sorry for their sins and ask Jesus to become their Savior and Lord. Have you ever done that and been serious? If so, God says that He moved you to come to Him. He gave you the free gift of salvation (Rom. 6:23).
