Bible Question:

Ever since I was little, I have been having premonitions, and I would say about 60% of them have come true. My family and friends have been close witnesses of these premonitions. These just don't stop at dreams; they also happen when I am awake. For example, my friend and I were sitting outside one day, and I was kind of bored so I wished for a tornado to hit our small town. Lo and behold, six tornados hit outside of our town that day. There was not even a cloud in the sky that day. I love my God and do His plans for me. But I need help before I hurt someone or myself. So what could be causing this? I would like help for this.

Bible Answer:

As a little boy I remember having premonitions of things to come and on occasions a sense that I “had already been here before.” I believe that many people have this type of experience at some point in their lives. Most of these are normal. They occur when we come into similar surroundings and because of previous events that we have experienced. The situation you describe with the tornados is either a coincidence or demonic.

From the Life of Job

In the book of Job, we are told that Satan came before God and asked for permission to harm a righteous man called Job (Job 1:9-12). Satan knew Job because he had been roaming the earth (Job 1:7). Satan is not permitted to live in heaven with God (Ps. 5:4). So God allowed Satan to test Job with difficult situations. Satan was able to motivate the Sabeans and Chaldeans to steal Job’s animals and to kill Job’s servants. He was also allowed to kill other animals and servants with fire. But the worst occurred in the next verse.

Then the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the LORD. (NASB) Job 1:12

Then Satan asked for permission to kill Job, and God said, “No.” Satan was not happy just making Job miserable. Satan wanted kill this righteous man. Satan is after righteous men and women. But the message in all of this for us is that Satan was not allowed to do any of these horrible things without God’s permission.

From the Antichrist

In the book of Revelation we discover that the Antichrist will have great supernatural power. But it is easy to miss an important point – God gave him the power. It was not his own power. He did not naturally possess it. Here is one of three important verses.

And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed. (NASB) Rev. 13:15

The other two verses are Rev. 13:5 and 7.The Old Testament prophet Elijah appeared to have great power when the rain stopped for 3.5 years (James 5:17). This did not occur by his power. God answered his prayer and stopped the rain.

Conclusion:

So how does this apply to your situation? The answer is that you do not have power to create tornados. Most likely these are coincidences or it is demonic influence in your life.
