SERIOUS STUFF! A 51 year old woman claims that she is Jesus Christ who, as she says, already came the second time. Her name is Dore Williamson. She claims that her mother was conceived by the Holy Spirit! She claims that Revelation states 1) the second coming will be in flesh, and 2) Jesus would be given a new name. I don't know if they are there in the book. Please verify and tell me. She says, “If you have rejected me, you will be in hell.”
First, any human who claims to be Jesus Christ is sincerely deceived and a false teacher. She is not the first person to claim to be Jesus Christ. The Rev. Sun Myung Moon of South Korea also claimed to fulfill the second coming of Jesus Christ. Other men have made the same claim since the time that Jesus Christ walked this planet. Jesus made the following statement to His disciples,
Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘There He is,’ do not believe him. (NASB) Matt. 24:23
The Apostle John gave us this warning,
Children . . . just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour. (NASB) 1John 2:18
Antichrists are those who claim to be Jesus Christ and those who oppose Jesus Christ.
1st Claim From Revelation
Dore Williamson’s first claim that the second coming will be in the flesh” is in error. In Revelation 19 you will discover that Jesus Christ comes down from heaven along with many angels. I would encourage you to read Revelation 19 for yourself. The description of Jesus Christ in that passage is not the description of a human being, but, of God Himself. Here is a portion of Revelation 19.
His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God . . . From His mouth comes a sharp sword . . . And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS”. (NASB) Rev. 19:12-16
That is not the description of a human being. Are the eyes of Dore Williamson a “flame of fire”?
2nd Claim From Revelation
When Dore Williamson states that Jesus will have a new name, she is correct. According to Revelation 3:12 Jesus will have a new name. But notice Jesus’ old names have not changed. Even in the above passage Jesus is still called the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He also has a name that no one knows, according to the above passage. Jesus has lots of names, but one of them is not Dore Williamson.
Signs of the End
According to the books of Daniel and Revelation, a number of key conditions must exist before Jesus Christ will return. While many of the conditions have been satisfied, several of these conditions have not yet occurred. Two of the final conditions that have not yet occurred are the spread of the good news about Jesus Christ throughout the entire world, and the existence of a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem.
According to Revelation, a major 3.5 year world war will occur before Jesus comes. During that war at least 33 percent of the world’s population will be destroyed (Rev. 9:15). Revelation 8:12 also says that a third of the sun, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars will be dimmed. We are also told that a third of the earth, a third of the trees, and all the green grass will be burned up (Rev. 8:7). According to Revelation all of this destruction will occur in less than 3.5 years just before Jesus Christ returns. When Jesus does return, most of the remaining people on the world will be killed. After Christ has defeated the armies of the world, He will set up a world wide kingdom and peace will reign over the earth. There will be no war, no crime, and even the wild animals will be at peace. A child can play with the cobra without being bitten. None of this has happened yet. You may want to read the study on Revelation 21. It will provide more details.
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is in the future. Those who believe in Jesus Christ will not miss the Second Coming. They will meet Him in the air and join in His return. I trust that is true of you.
To The Glory of Christ
Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me . . . Jeremiah 9:23-24
