I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter hidden things from of old. Psalms 78:2 (NIV)
Fulfillment
Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.” Matthew 13:34-35 (NIV)
Comment
The prophecy in Psalm 78:2 predicted that the Messiah would speak in parables. That is exactly what Jesus did according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. There are 70 parables and illustrations in the gospels accounts (W. Graham Scroggie. A Guide to the Gospels. Fleming H. Reveal Company. 1973. p. 211.)
