What Is Your Decision? Some people
believe that God will evaluate their good and evil deeds
before deciding if they will have eternal life or eternal
punishment. Some years ago a man declared that if after
he died he discovered that God did exist he would be able
to convince God that he deserved to go to heaven. He was
a very foolish man. He had decided that he could deal with
the question of God and his eternity later. He missed the
fact that God expects us to make a decision about Him in
this life.
Behold, now is “THE ACCEPTABLE TIME,” behold,
now is “THE DAY OF SALVATION.” (NASB) 2 Cor.
6:2
God will already know what decision you made in this life
when you stand before Him. He will know if you were repentant
of your sins, if you believed that Jesus was God, if
you trusted Him to forgive your sins, and if you were willing
for Him to take over your life. God will not evaluate your
deeds. He will already know your decision. You must believe who
He claimed to be and only Him. Jesus is not one of the ways
to God. He is the only way!
There is no other name under heaven that
has been given among men, by which we must be saved. (NASB)
Acts 4:12
. . . if you confess with your mouth Jesus
as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from
the dead, you will be saved . . . (NASB) Rom. 10:9
What Should I Say To God? If you
believe that Jesus is God, died so that your sins could be
forgiven, returned to life, and desire to have your sins
forgiven and are willing to yield to Him,
then simply tell Him.
There is nothing magic about the words you say. All that
is important is your attitude. Are you serious?
