God Wants To Meet Your Need. God
is attempting to speak to your heart. He wants you to know
that He loves you and cares for you greatly. You have a need
that only He can fill. A need that He alone can meet. God
has proven that He loves us by the fact that He died for
us.
But God demonstrates His own love toward
us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
(NASB) Romans 5:8
Why did He need to die for us? He needed to do it because
every human has lied, been angry, quarreled with someone,
been jealous, been selfish, lusted, deceived someone, or
have been gluttons. Some of us have committed adultery, murder,
or may be robbery. God calls these actions sin, and so He
calls us sinners.
God does not do these things. He does not deserve
to die. He is holy. He hates sin! He says that unless we
want His forgiveness and believe that only Jesus Christ can
forgive us, we are going to live in hell forever. We deserve
to remain spiritually dead due to our sins. As a result we
are going to spend eternity in a place of suffering unless
we make peace with God. We need our sins to be forgiven. |
