Even after Jesus had done all these miraculous signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him. This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: Lord, who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed. (NIV) John 12:37-38

God had made many predictions about Messiah through Isaiah. In this one He predicted that the people would not believe the Messiah. Can you imagine what Isaiah must have thought? He must have wondered why they rejected the Messiah. So it is not surprising that many today have also rejected Jesus. They reject Him because they are in darkness.
