Prophecy

And through your offspring [seed] all nations on the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed Me (NIV). Genesis 22:17-18

Only Christ, Abraham's Seed, will bless the earth.

Fulfillment

Date: 2 B.C.

The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The scripture does not say 'and to seeds' meaning many people, but to your 'seed,' meaning one person, who is Christ (NIV);" Gal. 3:16

Comment

This prophecy promises that Abraham's seed will bless the world. The Hebrew word, ZERA, for "offspring" in the prophecy is singular and, therefore, refers to one individual - the Messiah. The prophecy points to one individual as the direct descendant of Abraham. That seed is Jesus Christ.
