Prophecy

For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. (NKJV) Ps. 16:10

You have ascended on high, You have led captivity captive . . . (NKJV). Ps. 68:18a

Fulfillment

And when they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe. So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven . . . (NKJV). Mark 16:11, 19

Comment

This prophecy indicates that Messiah was to ascend into heaven. It occurred after Jesus death. He came back to life and afterwards was seen by His disciples. After comforting them and helping them to understand their purpose in life, He went to heaven. This prophecy occurred in 970 - 610 B.C.
