This prophecy was written about 900 B.C. and then in A.D. 33, the soldiers pierced His hands and feet with nails as they pounded the nails into the wood post of the cross. The apostle Thomas doubted the rumors that Jesus had returned to life. So he relied on the fact that Jesus would have nail holes in His hands and feet and a hole in His side as the proof that He was his master.
