verview :
Jesus died in Nisan A.D. 33 while hanging on
a cross. A friend had betrayed Him to the ruling
religious leaders of the day and His disciples
had forsaken Him. Judgment announced against
Him by the religious leaders, the Roman soldiers
gambled for His clothes and beat Him. He carried
His instrument of death to the top of a hill
and there His hands and feet were nailed to that
piece of wood. In response darkness soon covered
the land and eventually a soldier stabbed Him
in the side. The solider discovered that He was
dead. But three days later He returned to life
and thirty days later He ascended into heaven.
The major prophecies surrounding His death were
predicted in the Old Testament.
