Major
and Minor Prophets. But the major and minor prophets
did write scripture and they came after Israel was split into two
kingdoms: the Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judah. Each one
had a ministry to one of the kingdoms. Therefore, the chart below
shows the kingdoms to which they ministered.
Conclusion: It
is amazing to see that Abraham was a prophet. Abraham was the first
man in scripture who was called a prophet, and he was called God's
friend (James 2:23). But a man or woman does not need to be a prophet
to have a close relationship with God. A close relationship can be found
by wanting and seeking it.
