Bible Question: Do you think that most Christians today in America do not have compassion for others?

Bible Answer:  I believe this is a problem for many Christians as well as non-Christians. Otherwise, God would not have said,

This is the great and foremost commandment. "The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’" (NASB) Matt. 22:38-39

Encouraged To Love. The Holy Spirit encourages all Christians to love each other, because we are not perfect beings even though our sins are forgiven.
God has even had to tell us how to love each other through the Ten Commandments.

  Ten Commandments
You shall have no other gods before Me.
You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.
You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
  You shall not murder.
  You shall not commit adultery.
  You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
  (NASB) Exodus 20:3-17
