Bible Answer: The Greek word for "two men" in Luke 17:34 is DUO. This word simply
means "two." Some have concluded this refers to two adults, two
children, or a father and a son. But the word DUO can refer to
males, females and objects. The word can also refer to a husband
and a wife. The New International Version (NIV) has concluded
that males is too limiting and so translates the passage as,

Jesus' second illustration is about two people who will be grinding
at a mill (it is assumed from the context they are women) and
again one will be taken and not the other. These are events that
will take place when He returns.

His point is that His coming is not for everyone. One will be taken and another one will not be taken.
Yes, God loves each of us and desires that we escape eternal punishment
but He is not a soft teddy bear who will just accept everyone,
allowing us to do whatever we want. Jesus' return is not for everyone.
It is a time of judgment of some and joy for others.
Conclusion: Jesus return is for those who are depending on Him for the forgiveness of their sins and for judgment against
