That is being gay. God includes it together with "wickedness,
evil, envy, murder, . . .

God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which
are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness,
greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they
are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful,
inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding,
untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and, although they know the
ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy
of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval
to those who practice them. (NASB) Rom 1:28-32 |
It is sin! God hates the sin of homosexuality so much He destroyed
two cities - Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen. 19:24) because of homosexuality.
Romans 1:28 seems to say that men and women who choose to be gay
have really rejected God!
Conclusion: God forgives all sin, including this one. We must always remember
that God loves the sinner. If you know of anyone who thinks they
are gay, or thinks they were born gay, let them know we are all
born sinners. But they do not have to be gay. Jesus offers to
forgive them and help them to flee this sin (John 3:16 and 1 Cor.
10:13). They only need to believe in Jesus to have their sins forgiven. |
